NHS Future Forum Seeks from Patients and Public

November 3rd, 2011

NHS Future Forum seeks views from patients and public

The NHS Future Forum wants to hear from patients, service users, carers and their representatives to help shape its advice to the Government.

Modernisation of Health and Care

The Forum is looking at four issues:

* how to improve information for users of services and professionals

* how to get services to join up better

* how the NHS can do more to improve people’s health and wellbeing (as well as treating illness)

* how to improve the education and training of doctors, nurses and other health professionals.

Please click on the links above to find out more about each issue and to give your comments. You can also send comments in by using our Feedback form.

The deadline for comments on three of the topics – education and training of health and care professionals, information, and the role of the NHS in improving health and wellbeing – is 31 October 2011.

The deadline for comments on the subject of joined up services is 18 November 2011.

If you are a healthcare professional, you might like to respond to the Future Forum’s more detailed questions.

FINAL WEEK! Patients Association Survey on Cuts to Services

October 11th, 2011

We are still running our survey on cuts to services and we are keen to hear your experiences. This will be open for one more week only.

As you may have read recently in the newspapers, there are concerns that due to the financial pressures facing the NHS, patients are being denied access to services and treatments they would have had in previous years.

To try and gain a better understanding of this issue, our survey is investigating whether patients across the country are experiencing problems of this sort.

We want to hear from as many patients as possible – including those that are not having problems accessing services and treatments – so that we can get a balanced picture.

This the FINAL WEEK of the survey so if you haven’t filled it in and want to contribute this is your last chance.

To access the survey please follow the link below. It should only take a few minutes.
